Our Projects
Examples of the innovations that NTS Partners have brought to orientation programs.
High Fidelity Simulation
A traditional preceptorship orientation model often doesn't allow the new emergency nurse to experience all patient situations or types. By developing a well-thought-out and evidence-based simulation curriculum, the new emergency nurse experiences different patient situations in a safe learning environment.
Preceptor Training
Clinically competent and effective preceptors are essential to prepare new graduate nurses as they transition from student to independent practicing nurses. Preceptor education and training are necessary to improve the confidence and abilities of the nurse preceptor.
Point of View Simulation
An interactive instruction method engages new emergency nurses actively in the learning process, leading to better retention and understanding of the material. The objective was to get the new emergency nurse to think like a veteran emergency nurse from the start. Sepsis education for new graduate nurses is crucial as it helps them recognize early signs, provide prompt interventions, and improve patient outcomes.
Benchmark Performance
By converting the evaluation from rarely completed to daily it creates a sufficient amount of data to show progress over time. These progress points can be compared to like-kind learners when they were at the same point in their orientation. An educator can then consider
"Why is this learner ahead or behind?"
"What element in their practice has improved most?"
"Can we build on their progress?"
Clinical Development Grid
Measure a participants clinical judgement practice during a simulation event to help them reflect on their performance. Moving from knowledge application to matching an appropriate skill or action to the situation, and finally the ability to recommend or identify the appropriate next steps.
Behavioral Health and Deescalation
Participants experience emergency care for a Behavioral Health complaint from a patient's perspective. They see how bias and approach taken by care providers can impact the patient and the outcomes. The content focuses on patient and colleague safety through multi-disciplinary collaboration.
Why Choose NTS
Despite the abundance of content providers in the healthcare industry, there remains a significant gap in the market where institutions often struggle with knowing how and when to effectively deliver content to their nursing staff. Furthermore, measuring the impact of this content in practical settings presents a formidable challenge. By addressing this crucial aspect, Nurse Training Strategies ensures that nursing orientation and training programs achieve the desired outcomes, ultimately leading to improved patient care and enhanced healthcare performance.
