Long Term Support
On the journey with your team, here to assist in implementing strategies and more.
Long-Term Client Support
Nurse Training Strategies is committed to providing its client base with the support needed - no matter how long or short the timeframe. From start to finish, the NTS consulting team will provide in-person or virtual support depending on the need. Listed below are ways that NTS can provide long-term support.
Support Strategies
- Virtual or Telephone Meetings for Troubleshooting and/or Stakeholder Needs
- On-site Support for Implementation of Simulations, Preceptor Workshops, or Evaluation Website Go-Lives
- Simulation Scenario Development and Objective Writing
- Emergency Department Learning Center Support
- Analysis and evaluation of simulation curriculum post-implementation
Virtual Support
In the busy healthcare environment, it is often challenging for key stakeholders to gather and meet in person. NTS consultants commit to long-term virtual or telephone contact with clients to discuss challenges or successes, including implementation, evaluation, or any issues that arise when beginning a new orientation process.
On-site Support
On-site support is often necessary when implementing a new and possibly unfamiliar education program. NTS is committed to providing on-site support to its client base, including leadership and educators. Mentoring an educator as they delve into using simulation is vital to their success. NTS colleagues have been facilitating simulations, both high and low fidelity, for the past eight years. When planning the project's implementation phase, the NTS consultant will determine if the client desires on-site support.
Simulation Scenario Development
Simulation writing can be overwhelming for an educator who has not done it. NTS consultants have over eight years of experience in simulation and objective reporting. Fundamental principles and theories used by NTS consultants in simulation writing include:
- SMART objectives
- Kolb's Experiential Learning Theory
- ADDIE model of education development
- Kirkpatrick's Hierarchy of Learning
Emergency Department Learning Center
The Emergency Department Learning Center web-based application requires training for the end-user. NTS consultants are knowledgeable about the orientation tracker's applications and can provide support services to the new user(s). Support services include:
- Initial set-up
- Training super users and leadership team(s) on applications
- Preceptor training
- Ongoing support and troubleshooting
Curriculum Evaluation Support
NTS consultants can support the education and leadership teams to debrief challenges and successes after implementing a new orientation process. The NTSC consultant will analyze the information from the client and provide any needed recommendations. If on-site support is needed after the evaluation, the NTS consultant will work with the client to provide that support.
